Description.
This piece is from the gallery exhibition “Flower Parade – Bloemencorso Bollenstreek” at Junie Moon Daikanyama.
**Title: “Flowering Parade” / “Soft Spring Melody”**
Two girls taking part in a flower festival in a foreign country. This set was created with an all-flower theme for both kimono and obi.
By wearing the juban (inner layer), the outfit can be styled like a kimono, and it can also be worn as a yukata depending on how it is arranged.
The kimono fabric uses a design by yukiemon, featuring a white base with leaves, colorful flowers, and many cute animals peeking through.
There are two types of obi:
1. A bold floral fabric obi featuring a flower motif used as an obi decoration, styled in a ginza-musubi knot. 2. A half-width obi made from a yellow fabric reminiscent of Turkish tiles, tied in a bunko-musubi style.
The headdress is made of soft flowers crafted from blue and white chirimen fabric. Each piece can be worn individually with clip attachments.
The basket bag features a single handle and includes a removable drawstring pouch. Both the basket and pouch can be used separately.
For the “Parade” set, a shocking pink fabric is used for the pouch, adding a vibrant accent.
